Chennaiyin FC failed to grab the first spot on the points table after playing a draw against SC East Bengal in match 39 of eISL. With this draw, CFC stayed in second place, while SCEB remained at the eighth position on the points table.
In-game 1, SC East Bengal represented by Not_Ankitgupta fired the first goal, however, Navin29 playing for Chennaiyin FC scored the equaliser on the verge of full time. Game 1 turned out to be a cracker and ended with a 1-1 scoreline
In the second game, Saranshjain7 put Chennaiyin FC ahead by scoring the goal in the 23rd minute, but CFC couldn’t hold on to the lead, as Im_Beno7 scored the equaliser for SCEB in the next five minutes. Later in the second half, Saranshjain7 scored a late goal and won it for CFC by 2-1.
In the Co-op match, SC East Bengal made a great comeback. SCEB had the upper hand, as they scored two goals in the first half. In the second half, the equation changed as Chennaiyin FC scored two goals and got themselves back into the game. But a late header from Not_Ankitgupta gave SCEB the all-important lead. The match ended with a 3-2 scoreline in SCEB’s favour.
