Day 5 of eISL Season 3 concluded as an electrifying and enthralling experience, with the battle for positions into the playoffs becoming an emotional rollercoaster. The day began with Charanjot of Northeast United FC fighting against Mumbai City FC, marking the first win of the day. The match ended with a 4-0 score, landing Charanjot just one goal away from his 100th goal of eISL Season 3, a feat he achieved in the very next match against FC Goa. The day at the office was quite exciting for the e-Gaur. Although Emaad started off with a close loss against Charanjot, it was soon raining goals for him, earning him a share in Charanjot’s achievement.

The fifth day of games was rather quiet. Kerala Blasters’ Navin started the day with a draw, headed into a normal day of ups and downs but took a hit with a 3-5 loss against his former team Chennaiyin FC. The e-Torchbearer, Saransh saw 3 games for the day. With a draw and a loss, the flame shone brighter towards the end with a dominant 9-2 win against Hyderabad, closing the League Stage for eISL Season 3.

Overall, quite a few changes on the points tables. While Northeast United and East Bengal held onto their first and second positions, Kerala, Chennai, Mumbai City, and Goa scrambled around between positions 3 and 6. Hyderabad and Odisha switched places to give us our final team standings and the final 6 entering the playoffs.

The playoffs are scheduled to take place on 27th April between 5pm and 8pm where FC Goa will battle with Kerala Blasters FC and Chennaiyin FC will battle with Mumbai City FC for their positions into the semi-finals and finals, which are scheduled for 28th April between 3pm and 9pm. Hold onto your seats, for this weekend will surely be another thrilling ride with many more goals, saves, and a tight battle for the trophy.
