NorthEast and Mumbai show pure dominance as Jamshedpur and Odisha settle for a draw 

The Matchday 12 of the eISL season 2 was nothing short of drama and action. Here’s how it unfolded!

The day kicked-off with an interesting proceedings as East Bengal FC faced Mumbai City FC. First up, it was a clash between A-K-S-H-A-T08 and Sakky_8 that witnessed the first corner getting converted to a goal for this season. However in the next few minutes, A-K-S-H-A-T08 staged a comeback and took a lead of 2-1, a few minutes after his first. However, right at the half-time whistle, Mumbai City FC levels the score. The second half witnessed a lot of chances being created but at the final moments of full-time, Sakky_8 converted one past the net and secured a crucial win for Mumbai City FC. The co-op fixture saw both the clubs going all in and Mumbai City FC opening the score sheet at 45th minute. However, in the next few minutes they witnessed a comeback from East Bengal. The 74th minute saw Mumbai taking the lead and in the next ten minutes, at the 83rd minute, East Bengal staged a comeback with an equalizer and the co-op game ended with a draw. The final game was the only way for East Bengal to level it up and to stay in the game, but Mumbai City and Krusher had other plans. He started off his heroics at the 7th minute of the game, and went on to net 5 more goals, totally crushing his opponents. Krusher's scorecard read 6-0 by the end of Match 32 and with that, Mumbai City FC bagged all three points.

Match 33 was slated between Odisha FC and Jamshedpur FC where EightNates took on Arvind7 in the first game. First half went goalless and all action was waiting in the second. 2 minutes after half time, EightNates took the lead and after creating many chances, at 71 minutes Arvind7 leveled it up for Jamshedpur. And 5 mins later, he took a much needed lead for Jamshedpur as Arvind7 took the game home with 2-1 on the board. With a hope of their first win of the season, Jamshedpur FC enters the 2v2 fixture, and after some great skills and gameplay from both the sides, it was Odisha that scored and took the lead 2:0 with few minutes on the timeline. Jamshedpur scored one consolation goal before the final whistle, but Odisha FC won the 2nd game and leveled the fixture. The final decider for the fixture was between Vagya7 and D33kay which was quite a thriller as Vagya7 converted a penalty at 11' and took a 1-0 lead. The whole game saw Odisha in the lead and on their way to register their 2nd win of the season. However, it was at the 90th minute that D33kay changed the game by scoring an equalizer and leveling the game and the fixture 1-1 and snatched the W from Odisha and settled for a point each.

The final fixture was the clash of the biggies, SaaranshJain12 taking on Vicky_1227 and EmaadRox taking on Afnan10. Game 1 began with Saransh missing a Panenka penalty and Vicky striking just a little later and taking the lead 1-0. Saransh leveled it up at the beginning of the second half, but it was at the 74' minute that saw Vicky and ATK Mohun Bagan take the lead and walk away with 2-1 at full-time. The co-op game turned out as expected, the powerful combo of the NorthEast boys went hard and stepped out victorious with 2-0 on the board. The final game, the match decider was between Emaad and Afnan, who had recently scored 8 goals in a game. As expected, it was a great fight between Emaad and Afnan and it was Emaad's attack that helped NorthEast United draw first blood and the scoreboards read 1-0 at the final whistle. Emaad's attack and gameplay pulled all three points into the NorthEast bag and with that NorthEast United stand at 2nd position in the points table.
