It’s time for eISL Season 2 qualifiers! The action-packed qualifiers will take place on six different days, kick-starting on the 22nd of January with the last qualifier scheduled for the 31st of January.

All 11 ISL clubs will be a part of the second season, and a total of 22 esports athletes shall be a part of it. Out of the 22 available spots, 6 have already been filled through club retention. The returning Champions, Chennaiyin FC, have retained their star player and last year’s MVP, Navin Haridoss, whereas the first edition’s table toppers and semifinalists, East Bengal FC, retained Shayantan Mondal. FC Goa who were the other semifinalist retained Vanshaj Sharma for the second season Emaad Ahmed from North East United FC, Lokmanyu Chaturvedi from Kerala Blaster FC, and Arvind S from Jamshedpur FC, have all been retained from the first season.

Chennaiyin FC gets the first choice of qualifiers as the returning champions. Their qualifiers are  scheduled on 22nd January, to fill their single available slot. This will be followed by Mumbai City FC qualifiers, who were last year’s runners-up, Mumbai City FC, who get the second choice on the same day. They will look to fill two vacant spots in the team. FC Goa and East Bengal FC will take place next on the 24th of January, both teams looking to fill up one vacant spot for the upcoming season. Bengaluru FC will be on the lookout to fill their two spots on the team during their qualifier on the 25th of January.

The qualifiers resume after a two day break on 28th January as NorthEast United FC look out to fill their single slot, followed by Jamshedpur FC’s qualifiers scheduled for a later time on the same day. This will be followed by Kerala Blasters FC and Hyderabad FC qualifiers on the 29th of January as they will have one and two spots remaining respectively. The final day of qualifiers on 31st of January will see both Odisha FC and ATK Mohun Bagan looking for two budding athletes to represent the club for season 2 of the eISL.

Interested players will be allowed to register for and participate in more than one club qualifier, as long as they have not already qualified to represent a club.
