Hyderabad FC vs Odisha FC - A tie filled with comebacks.

Jenasid got Hyderabad FC to a wonderful start, taking the lead in the 26th minute with a brilliant strike into the back of the net. Jenasid once again put his name on the scoresheet with yet another superb goal that doubled his side’s lead. A stunning counter attack saw Jenasid’s skill on full display, banging home the third of the game. Just when we thought the game was over, another one was added to Hyderabad’s tally with the referee blowing the whistle for the first game. The second ensured the boys from Odisha don’t bow down easily, drawing first blood in the first quarter of the game in hopes of leveling the tie. Despite Odisha putting another one in the back of the net, the Hyderabad boys returned with a goal to reduce the deficit to one. Odisha put the final nail in the coffin just second from the final whistle to level it 1-1 in the tie. The showdown game saw Warsi give Hyderabad the lead within 10 minutes of kickoff. Odisha’s fighting spirit once again came to the fore with them scoring one of their own just minutes later. Once again, just minutes later, the game took another turn with Warsi finding the back of the net again. A superb finish saw them go two up over their opponents. What followed was a comeback for the ages. Warsi staged a theatrical remontada, scoring twice in the last 7 minutes to share the spoils with Hyderabad after the final whistle.

Bengaluru FC vs FC Goa - Goa’s winning run goes on and on

It was a familiar scene all over again with Vanshaj drawing first blood for FC Goa to go up. It didn’t take long for CJ to bounce back, with him scoring one of his own to equalize. The next one in the back of the net also belonged to CJ, doubling his lead and going ahead. Just when we thought Vanshaj would have his first L of the season, he proved us wrong by scoring the goal that tied the game once again. Goa once again headed into the front in the second home as well with a beautifully executed goal. Just minutes later, another one followed for the Goa boys. It didn’t take long for the third and fourth of the first half either, giving a dream first half to FC Goa. Bengaluru finally managed to salvage one in the 63rd minute with a well executed half volley. The game ended in FC Goa’s favor, putting them 1 up in the tie. In the final clash, it was Aadizema who put the first nail, giving Goa the lead midway through the first half. Just minutes later, a fiery goal doubled that lead. Once again, just minutes later, there was a goal, but this time on the opposite end from Sagnik. In hopes of a comeback, Sagnik banged in another one to bring the goal deficit to one. But Goa are not to be put down, as they’ve proved all through the tournament, with Aadizema chipping in his fourth, which was followed by five to write their name all over the tie. A goal fest was on display with Sagnik trying to get back with his third of the game.

ATKMB vs JFC - ATKMB prevail in a thrilling contest.

The Men of Steel rammed through to the front with their opening goal coming just 10 minutes into the game, courtesy Vicky. ATK Mohun Bagan replied straight back with them opening the scoring and equalizing it. Once again, just five minutes later, Vicky rammed in the goal that put them ahead for the first time. The third one soon followed as well with a wonderful skill and finish from inside the box. Deekay pulled one back himself to put them within reach of the equalizer. The leveling goal soon came with Deekay’s moment of magic making it all square again and sharing the spoils equally in the first game. In the co-op game, just 4 minutes after kicking off, ATK Mohun Bagan drew first blood. Just around the half time whistle, Jamshedpur drew level to get back in the game, which ultimately ended 1-1 and leaving the final game to decide who takes the tie. Afnan opened up the final game with a cracking finish to go ahead. With another goal in the bag for ATK Mohun Bagan, Arvind drew one back for Jamshedpur FC. But eventually, Afnan banged in their third to put them in front again and give them the full three points in the bag.
